Labor DayTwenty-twenty has been a tumultuous year.  The United States experienced fires, storms, disease, and drought.  This Labor Day, more than others before it, we have cause to celebrate what we have and the workers, especially the essential workers, who make our way of life possible.

So when you celebrate the holiday this weekend, I hope you find the time to thank essential workers.  We are grateful for all they have done for all of us.

Keep Labor Day Celebrations Safe

The Concord Clayton Pioneer reports that Labor Day is an opportunity to recognize the workers who have put their lives on the line during the pandemic.  They are teachers, retail employees, daycare workers, and medical professionals.  They go to work each day despite the possibility of infecting themselves and their families.

Because of these workers, we can buy groceries, our mail and packages get delivered, and our loved-ones receive medical care. They truly are essential

Perhaps you are one of these crucial workers.  Whatever role you play, we thank you for your service to us and our communities.  We could not continue without the important work you do.

Labor DayThis weekend, we celebrate all workers.  We celebrate family. We celebrate the passing of summer into fall.

To stay safe, many of us will celebrate the holiday at home.  If you need ideas for ways to relax this weekend, Chicago Parent offered some suggestions.  Some of these include:

  • A small backyard get-together
  • Decking your home in patriotic decor
  • Setting up an outdoor movie

Of course, if you are a sports fan, this weekend has offerings from college football to baseball to the Kentucky Derby.  While the Derby is normally conducted in May, not much about this year has been what anyone would call normal.

However you spend your Labor Day holiday, the Keating Agency wishes you a safe and happy weekend.  Know that if you find yourself in a claim situation, we will be here to help you through every step of the claims process.  The Keating Agency is here for you.  Give us a call.
